Data Analysis with Lee Hawthorn

July meetup

Topics: Meetup

We had Joe Mulvey speaking at Chester Data Insights in July. It was good to see new members join us at the Cornerhouse bar in Chester, England.

Joe gave a talk : A gentle introduction to Apache Spark.

Spark has multiple API's so you can program with SQL, Java, Scala, Python, R. There are multiple options for deployment on the cloud services. Joe mentioned Databricks running on Azure as a good option.

He shared his slides and code book (Python) that are available here.

You can join the meetup at

I must thank our sponsors who support the meetup.
